To be HIM is to lead a balanced life that builds on your strengths as an athlete
Strong athletes transcend the field and become extraordinary leaders - "him" - when they embrace kindness and genuine care for their fellow man.
Developing grit and perseverance is critical to overcoming obstacles and developing your best self. Mental toughness is the true X factor of every star athlete and one that makes "him" rise up when the going gets tough.
There is no better way to show respect and appreciation for your blessings and for those who have invested in you, than to pay it forward to others. Being "him" means being a role model for others and giving back to your community.
Whether on the field or off, having the tools and education we need to successfully interact with the world around us is essential. To be "him" is to continuously seek knowledge, education and personal growth for himself and others.
Stephen Samartzis
Stephen developed Him Athletics while as a varsity basketball player, inspired by the impact he and his teammates had on the community.
Professional athletes leverage their status to change communities for the better. Young and amateur athletes can do the same with equal or even greater impact.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we do our work to make a difference in the lives of those around us.
All it takes is the mindset to be a man for others, the time to give more of yourself to support the community, and the willingness to become your best self.
Your time and effort will make a difference in someone's life, leave you more fulfilled, and enable you to advance your sport and career.
